Cartoons Love Vans (Part 2)

So on with the next lot of toons that have either driven, ridden or of course been associated with a van.

These cartoons actually compete with each other for viewings and ratings and it really is up to you on which one you like the most. Although these toons to not use the van very often when they do include them they are made out to be amusing.

News Van- Simpsons

Kent Brockman is the newsreader from the Simpsons that has a lot to do with vans because the company obviousy own a news van. Kent is never seen driving the van itself but it is a known fact that he does not come up with all of these quirky remarks himself, the team in the van channel them through to him.

Police Van With Family Guy

The van has only ever featured in one episode of the series and was used to listen in on a conversation between Lois and an ex. Peter is assuming that Lois is having an affair or about to start an affair but it turns out that all she wanted was a catch up over a coffee. Peter joins the conversation half way through and catches something that sounds bad when of course it really isn’t.

Ice-Cream Van- South Park

There have been a lot of vans in this series simply because it has gone on for such a long time, the best one has to be this one. The van has only ever appeared in one episode and in the episode did not manage to serve ice-cream but to kill Kenny.

There it is, the best cartoons vans that have ever come into existance. Let us just hope that these toons looked into commercial contract hire for their vans to save a bit of money. Van contract hire could actually be a better way to use a van as it is a lot cheaper than buying one outright.

Vans Appear A Lot In Cartoons (Part 1)

There are actually quite a few cartoons out there that feature cartoon characters that drive, own or have something to do with a van and many of them are tuned in by millions a day. Some of these are past sucesses and havent been around in a long while and some of them are made just for the enjoyment of the smaller kids. Here are the ones that came into my head first.

Mystery Machine

This has to be the most famous one out of all of the cartoon vans that have ever come into existence. In fact this really kicked it all off for the world in terms of the van being in a cartoon. 1969 is the year in which Scooby Doo was first aired making it a whopping forty years old this year! The show is of course still running and apprently the need for teenage mystery solving gangs has not fallen at all in the forty years. The monster always seems to be someone in disguise, where are the real monsters!. I wonder if the gang have the van on Van Leasing

The Classic Postman Pat

This is more of a stop-motion feature than a cartoon but it has to be mentioned as it is certainly the most famous van to be made by somebody here in Britain It was first screened in 1981 and a newer series was made for 2006. It is really aimed at the pre-school children and I can proudly say I used to watch these over and over again when I was younger. Why is Postman Pat so good, well simply because he has to be the only postman that can get stuck in the rain, snow, sleet or even help out people and yet still deliver on time, and he doesnt go on strike!

Cheap vehicle contracts has really got to be something that many of these cartoons had thought of when they purchased the vans.

Part two of this will actually feature toons from the Family Guy and South Park series, which has the best van. Small van leasing is key for the next part.
