Vans Appear A Lot In Cartoons (Part 1)
There are actually quite a few cartoons out there that feature cartoon characters that drive, own or have something to do with a van and many of them are tuned in by millions a day. Some of these are past successes and haven’t been around in a long while and some of them are made just for the enjoyment of the smaller kids. Here are the ones that came into my head first.
Mystery Machine
This has to be the most famous one out of all of the cartoon vans that have ever come into existence. In fact this really kicked it all off for the world in terms of the van being in a cartoon. 1969 is the year in which Scooby Doo was first aired making it a whopping forty years old this year! The show is of course still running and apparently the need for teenage mystery solving gangs has not fallen at all in the forty years. The monster always seems to be someone in disguise, where are the real monsters!. I wonder if the gang have the van on Van Leasing
The Classic Postman Pat
This is more of a stop-motion feature than a cartoon but it has to be mentioned as it is certainly the most famous van to be made by somebody here in Britain It was first screened in 1981 and a newer series was made for 2006. It is really aimed at the pre-school children and I can proudly say I used to watch these over and over again when I was younger. Why is Postman Pat so good, well simply because he has to be the only postman that can get stuck in the rain, snow, sleet or even help out people and yet still deliver on time, and he doesn’t go on strike!
Cheap vehicle contracts has really got to be something that many of these cartoons had thought of when they purchased the vans.
Part two of this will actually feature toons from the Family Guy and South Park series, which has the best van. Small van leasing is key for the next part.
What Famous Cartoon Characters wear glasses? (Part 1)
Just a few cartoons in the list that wear glasses, they are actually quite a few of them, it is also interesting to find out why some of these toons wear glasses.
Velma Dace Dinkley
Velma is of course famous from the Scooby Doo franchise and is one of the biggest starts that wear glasses. Although you will never see her wearing cheap glasses she is certainly one for the geeky looking ones. The reason why is she is the cleverest of all of the gang is quite simple, she thinks ahead and reads, a lot. If she isnt wearing glasses then she is on her hands and knees searching around for them.
The Striped t-Shirt man that is Wally/Waldo
Wally has a different name depending on where you are from as the USA and Canada call him Waldo for some strange reason. He is actually a British creation making his official name Wally. He hit it big in 1987 with the first book then it kind of went on from there. A major movie has been rumoured to be in the works prooving that this franchise has no where near come to an end. The magazine collection used to teach about the history of the world and it was a good thing to collect.
The Yellow Sponge that is Spongebob Squarepants
This crazy yellow sponge wears glasses when he goes out jellyfishing. Almost in the same way that many people wear them for reading. There is no way that spongebob is drying up any time soon as ten years on he is still going very strong indeed. This little sponge is said to be botn in 1986 which would make him around 13 when the show started in 1999 however it is now been said that he has no age at all, confusing much.
So there is just a few people who where designer glasses, however where are the cool cartoons that would wear something like police glasses.
