The definition of movie extra jobs are those roles in movies or tv shows that you see people in the background environment making the movie more realistic. For example, if the film is located in a shopping mall, it wouldn’t be completely empty except for the two stars talking to each other. It would not be a very realistic to have a mall totally empty in the day. That is where movie extra jobs come in.

It doesn’t take any skill to be an extra and you don’t even need to have a certain look. In most cases, the lens will be out of focus on the extras and will mainly be focused on the main actors and actresses.
