Huge Effects, Great Sound, That’s Blu-ray
There are many movies that are quite simply brilliant to watch in the amazing blu-ray format. All the big action, big sound, huge special effects type movies are, in my opinion, the best to showcase what Blu-ray has to offer. From the movies I have seen so far in the Blu-ray format, the following are some of my favourites:
Blu-ray movies such as the new edition of Batman The Dark Knight are undoubtedly the next best thing to seeing the film at the IMAX theatre. The bonus features included on the Blu-ray edition of Batman The Dark Knight are plentiful and will truly maximise your home theatre set up. The details and colours of every image on Batman The Dark Knight are pristine and the sound is flawless Dolby TrueHD. The most fantastic of all the amazing bonus features on the Batman The Dark Knight Blu-ray Edition is the “Gotham Uncovered” extra documentary where viewers can watch 81 minutes of behind the scenes footage.
Each Pirates of the Carribean movie has never been more enjoyable than on Blu-ray. The stunning high definition picture clarity of Blu-ray discs and house-rumbling sound quality will have any Pirates of the Carribean movie viewer shaking in their boots. The special features on each Pirates of the Carribean movie Blu-ray edition includes a range of special features including bloopers, trailers in FullHD, on-set diaries, documentaries on the making of each of the three films, step-by-step in depth looks at how scenes were constructed, various featurettes on the costuming of characters, deleted scenes, audio commentary tracks and much, much more.
The special features on the Twilight Blu-ray are exceptionally enjoyable for any Twilight movie fan. The Twilight Blu-ray edition offers a complete audio commentary where director Catherine Hardwicke and stars Robert Pattinson (plays Edward Cullen) and Kristen Stewart (plays Bella Swan) discuss the direction and performances. The audio commentary on the Twilight Blu-ray edition gives a great insight into the thoughts of the actors and director.
