Great Inspirational Movies From Hollywood
Sitting in a dark theater waiting for the film to start, you want to accept that the flick will transport you to a place a great distance from your humdrum life or your day by day problems. Most mainstream movies shoot at escapist entertainment and others are ethicality tales but some films aspire to a bigger objective and that is to provoke. Inspiring films from Hollywood are common and many of them involve some type of sports analogy but you can find inspirational flicks about other subjects too. Every year Hollywood comes out with 1 or 2 of these uplifting films. Sometimes it is hard to say if the film is uplifting or depressing. The proof is in the ending usually and whether or not the hero overcomes their stumbling blocks and persists.
In 2009 one of the most motivational pictures was just that kind of film. “Precious : Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire” was a dark and violent film that said to the story of a fat inner city black teen whose mum hated and beat her and who was raped by her mother’s partner. This glorious motion picture is hard to watch in spots but in the final analysis you see the resilience of the key personality, Valuable herself and one cannot help but admire her. We see the little Problems of our own lives as petty in comparison and this is an alternative way to that motivational pictures impact our own perceptions.
There are older films like the Oscar winning “Lilies of the Field” starring Sidney Poitier which is about a vet who is travelling across country and happens to stumble into a nun who puts him to work building a chapel. The battle between the person and the Catholic nun runs throughout the film and is the catalyst for the inspirational catharsis that occurs in the movie’s climax.
There are more more complex modern day inspirational flicks such as “A Stunning Mind” directed by Ron Howard and starring Australian actor Russell Crowe, best known as the beefy barbarous in the Oscar winning “Gladiator”. “A Lovely Mind” digs into the victories and complexities of the human mind and one man’s try to overcome all odds, including his very own medical and mental Problems. This flick incentivizes and entertains at the same time.
Films about folks with infirmities or challenges are not new to Hollywood and have been about since the very first silent films. Pathos is a big seller in Hollywood and will continue to drive audiences to the theaters. Some movies, for example “Rain Man” with Dustin Hoffman playing the autistic idiot-savant bro of Tom Cruise will continue to entertain and delight audiences around the planet for generations to come. The sheer creativity of Hoffman’s portrayal will be one of the most extraordinary renditions ever in the history of motivational movies.
There Are So Many Different Genres Of Film And It’s Impossible To Enjoy All Of Them. As A Consequence Two Cinema Goers Will Never Completely Agree On Their Favourite Films
I’m not any type of film expert, and until a couple of years ago I possibly only booked to go to the cinema a couple of times a year and maybe watched two or three films on television or DVD over the Christmas break. So now I feel that I have a great deal of catching up to do now that I’ve come to realise that I need to fill in the holes in my cultural knowledge. There are still some kinds of films that really hold no interest for me, but I have learned over recent years to bite the bullet and view some films that I haven’t bothered to watch in the past.
My change of heart is partly due to a friend whose judgement I really trust. Far too many people in days gone by have tried to convince me that I’ll completely love a film just because they do, and in reality that kind of recommendation doesn’t really fill me with any confidence. It’s also because I made the decision to endeavour to buy all of the films featuring my favourite actor, Johnny Depp, and by seeing some of his roles within genres which I don’t usually sit through, I’ve been encouraged to view similar films and have surprisingly enjoyed most of them. My film viewing has also been enhanced by a recent Laser eye surgery operation which has corrected a vision problem so that I can now see the screen properly with no blurred areas.
Nevertheless, there are quite a few films that I love, having watched them numerous times. The Monty Python films most certainly fall into that category, and although I’d have to say that the funniest one is probably Life Of Brian, all of them are equally entertaining and are completely the right thing to watch to put a smile on your face on a miserable day.
Another of my favourites, and maybe the only one of my favourite films that could be categorised as a ‘chick flick’ is Four Weddings And A Funeral, one of Hugh Grant’s better roles where he basically just plays himself, though I frequently wonder why someone who was clearly quite rich in the film insisted on fumbling with his glasses throughout rather than just having Laser eye surgery. I do maintain though that the film is superbly cast which is partly what made it so enjoyable, but I also enjoy it because I’ve been to far too many weddings in the past and can identify with most of the things that happen at the various nuptials.
As a series of films, I really don’t think you can better Pirates Of The Caribbean, but then I may be a little biased as my favourite actor has a leading role in them. Captain Jack Sparrow really is a totally loveable rogue and I for one will be going to see the newest instalment of his escapades the minute it arrives at the local cinema. So bizarre to think that the whole plot for the films stemmed from a theme park ride which has been around for many years and from memory, even though it was great fun, it wasn’t very sophisticated. I think I recall travelling in a boat through an unfolding pirate story. Presumably the movements of the figures were triggered by the craft breaking a Laser eye beam or similar so that each boatload was shown the same activity and the narrative made sense. Though I have heard that after the success of the films they have improved the ride, so I may be recalling something that isn’t the same any more!
Despite the fact that I’m not a huge a fan of Tom Hanks, one film that would always get into my Top Three is Apollo 13. I have viewed this with a buddy who is a lot younger than me, and she didn’t really like it, so I have to assume that the most likely reason why I love it this much is because I actually recall the events that it portrays, can very much remember news reports about the potential disaster and remember seeing footage of the astronauts after they had eventually made it safely back to earth. I’m not an emotional person and it’s very rare for a film to affect me, but the scene when they are all waiting for radio contact from the spacecraft after re-entry will often bring a tear to my eye (though these days I can blame it on my eyes being more sensitive since undergoing the Laser eye treatment!).
But I think, in all likelihood, my very favourite movie ever would surely be Local Hero. Filmed with some fantastic Scottish scenery as the location, the story about the Texas oil man sent abroad to secure land to build a refinery who ends up falling in love with the place could really be described as a modern day fairy tale. The thing I love most about the film is that it’s not easy to describe as a specific genre. There are moments when it’s amusing, quirky, thought provoking and is socially responsible. And then there are the questions that you never really get an answer to and have to allow your imagination to come up with a likely explanation. Who is Marina, the woman with the webbed feet? Is Mr Knox of Knox Oil & Gas maybe one of Ben’s ancestors? Or, as Mac himself queries in the film ‘Whose baby is it?’. With a soundtrack composed by Mark Knopfler which perfectly compliments what is going on, this is undoubtedly my Number One film choice.
Kung Fu: Weird Facts
Kung fu movies have a extended history and are also growing in reputation today. Even though Hong Kong still leads the way in producing this genre, they are enjoyed worldwide and millions of persons watch them every year.
Over the years there have been various diverse types portrayed. You will find really serious kung fu movies as properly as the pretty light-hearted comical versions. Both sorts are well-known and judging by recent box workplace successes, filmmakers will continue to produce this style of movie for years to come.
When the original kung fu movies have been produced there have been no CGI effects and an incredible deal of time and skill went into the movies. Chinese movie makers have been the initial to see the prospective that CGI gave them and enabled them to create much more amazing movies. Fans felt that this took away the core element of the movies. Lots of are pleased that, over the last couple of years, the original tactics and styles are returning. Using hidden wires is being utilized and that is sort of uncommon today.
Some of the better kung fu films are the ones that tell a story and are typically set in old China town. The amazing martial arts methods and moves are wonderful entertainment and enjoyable to watch.
That might be the subject of much debate, but films like Hero, Home of Flying Daggers and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon have only increased audience appetite for extra martial arts movies. Nobody Relaxes By The Pool In The Movies
Take up any batch of comedy films and it won’t be long till you get the Swimming pool pump fired up for a poolside shindig. Here are three of the best pool party scenes.
Caddyshack
It’s not Hollywood’s finest moment of maturity, but we’ll soon admit that it’s completely hilarious. A poolside fight over a chocolate bar leads to a mass panic when it flies into the pool and starts floating like a you-know-what. Hardly the most welcome of Swimming Pool Accessories. Spoofing the 1975 Summer Blockbuster Jaws, this scene boomerangs back for an settling encore. Draining the pool, Bill Murray’s slobbish but loveable character Carl Spackler recognises the bar and enjoys a soggy snack.
Jesus Christ Superstar
Easily one of the most obscure scenes in this often bizarre reinterpretation of the Easter story, the rock-opera takes a hugely camp detour to see King Herod. The film version sees a bare-chested, oiled Herod lounging around with a group of men and women in swimwear and afro-wigs. Maybe they should check what’s in the Swimming Pool Chemicals. The effect it has had on amateur productions since has been huge. School productions in particularly can’t seem to break out of this particular mold, and many a camp college student has been encouraged to go wild for this one. It also has one of the musical’s more trite rhymes: ‘Prove to me that you’re no fool, walk across my swimming pool’.
Anchorman
30 years later, Anchorman riffed on the same 70s machismo campiness. Will Ferrell’s hilarious Ron Burgundy holds pool parties to impress his contacts, displaying a complete lack of self-awareness. Not only a good stab at the frat-boy pool party trope, you’ll also find modern party animals by the bucketload. Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Luke Wilson, Ben Stiller and Jack Black are all in the film, five members of the so called ‘frat pack’ of regular, top-grossing collaborators. The Hollywood pool party you could have with these guys – and Steve Carell and Seth Rogen, who co-star – would be a thing to behold.
Bond Helped Me To Dive
Diving is something that I never really fancied doing before. I not only never really fancied going on a diving trip but I also thought that it would be a dull and boring experience overall and this all changed when I went and purchased all of the Bond movies on DVD a few months ago, you do not realise until you watch them all through again just how much diving is featured in the some of the films and when playing through some of these films I thought it might be a good idea to actually start thinking aboutscuba diving holidays after all.
The Moments That Made Me Change My Mind?
the moment or film should I say that really made me change my mind was Thunderball which of course featured Sean Connery. A lot of this film was featured underwater and despite actually most of it being filmed in a studio I was still very much interested in believing that going on a real dive would be something that was well worth my time which would really be great.
one of the really good thing about going diving whilst not being James Bond is that you do not have to take on killer sharks or of course a gang of underwater assassin with harpoon guns, this is always a good thing and will certainly help you out a lot. I went to the closest place to me in which I could take up diving and booked myself a lesson for later on the day. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it, in fact so much that I went forward and booked some shark diving out in those Maldives diving locations.
So thanks Mr Bond for giving me a great new hobby to go and try out, I will keep doing this and who would have thought a movie franchise would provide me with a decent hobby to try out!

Film Training For Those Who Want To Be Filmmakers
The film industry demands talent and skills for those who want to join it, whether that is technical or otherwise. You need to undergo film training if you want to join the film industry. There are a number of film outfits that provide training and education for those who are interested in filmmaking and the wanna-be filmmakers.

Whether you live in the US, the UK, or wherever, if you aim to study filmmaking you should know more about your interest. Some of these training courses provide training on directing while others focus more on scriptwriting. In that sense, you must be familiar first of the different aspects of filmmaking to help you decide on the right course you are going to enroll in.
You must be able to figure out yourself if you want a one-on-one training or a group course. Advantages and disadvantages go with these options of course. Of course, you have to see if the course you are planning to enroll in is available as well.
A formal film education renders more formality and discipline to your film artistry. Adding to it some training from the school of hard knocks, you are about to have a lucrative career in the world of film art.

And after completing an exact number of modules, the student will be awarded with his or her own personalized course completion certificate.
PLus, the online film schools being more program based than time based, each student has his own customized curriculum, depending on your schedule and the time you completed the learning session.

Best Film Schools To Choose From
All schools can offer many different things. That’s the reason why schools have varied identities and characteristics. You must have heard from different people how the school is blamed for a certain image that an individual projects to the public. For instance the statement: “Well, he is like that since he came from the So and So University. All the students who graduated from that school are just like that.” And this interference is not totally without logic. A certain culture and personality is generic in a specific school due to peer pressure.
So, determining the best film school is easy. The answer is: It is depending on what you want to become in your film school experience. Every particular film school has its certain attributes and features that the best thing you have to do is to find it out first. The country where the school is situated will also play an important role in knowing the character of a specific film school.
There are several aspects to consider: the kind of courses offering, the length of time each subject is discussed, the number of written modules against the time of actual practice, the incorporators of college and the course itself, guests in key lecture forums, the reputation of the school and whether that really matters in the end of the course. I believe it always does. It aids you in how you move in the world, whether you go up or down. However, in the real film industry, degrees are not that valuable and what weighs more is track record and past experience. No amount of argument can win against track record and innate talent. A few samples of schools that have impeccable status and repute are the following:
American Film Institute
New York University
California State of the Arts
University of Southern California
University of California – Los Angeles
Away from the United States, there are two notable film schools that one interested can opt for and these are the Australian Film, Television, and Radio School and the United Kingdom’s National Film and Television School. This isn’t to belittle the capacity of the other international film schools to teach ably the art of filmmaking but rest assured there are those that can be at par with the previously mentioned ones. What one has to do is to have a deep research on what he aspires in the film industry, what culture he wants to be part of, and where he can be most comfortable with.

Digital Movie Making Tips Beginners And Pros Can Use
Whether you are after a short film for your loved ones or a short film you are filming as a final requirement in your filmmaking class, digital movie making is a mainstay and not only a trend as it appears to some.
Both the amateur trainee and the professional filmmaker must know the things needed to be checked when filming a movie. Here are some basic things to note for both types of filmmakers:
The Equipment
Digital film technology has reached the stage of advancement wherein even those who have no knowledge at all about it or filmmaking per se can come up with professional-appearing videos and short films about family and friends.. The reason for this is the user-friendly equipment used in the process. However, you must be able to select one that will fit all your needs and different uses.
You must know that digital video camcorders come in various formats. The MiniDV ones film on small tapes while the video cameras record on HDD or High Disk Drive. DVD camcorders on the other hand film videos straight on discs which you can view on your DVD player.
If your mainly using it for family movies and short films of gatherings, the MiniDV is the perfect choice since it is handy and much easier to operate. The other types of cameras also have their own advantages. Video cameras are known for easier sharing of your work. This is agood choice for thhose who are studying filmmaking and have to share their work to a group. The advantage of the DVD camcorders is its large storage which is suited for those who produce full-length films or professional ones.
You must have a video editing software too but you should not worry as it can be found built-in in almost all desktop PCs and laptops as well.
The Angles and Shoots
For you to have professional shots, you have to consider the four aspects: lighting and exposure, audio, stability, and also editing. Digital video camcorders don’t work quite well in an environment with a wide range of lighting. Always see to it that the lighting is more uniform.
For the purpose of stability, you can make use of the tripod at all times or the digital stabilizer if you have one Remember that a slight jolt can ruin the scene or the picture.
Any camcorder contains basic audio devices in it. To have that better quality of sound, you can have a boom microphone on the audio input port and set it up closer to the subjects during the filming.
When you edit it’s best to keep away from many effects, keep it simple and the film won’t appear too amateurish.
Filmmaking Resources: Do They Truly Help?
For a lot of people, the filmmaking industry is more than just passing phase and is more of a calling. Why You Must Enroll In A Film Production School
The United States can boast of the many produce of its industrial sector that are exported to many countries around the world. However, one of the most lucrative export products that are produced in the country does nont come from any of the manufacturing plants that thrive all over the country. Many of these instead come from Hollywood where the most sophisticated film production facilities are found. Indeed, America’s film production’s contribution the country’s economy is undeniable. Like any field of business, you can find training grounds here for all those who aspire to be part of the industry. Hollywood would not be as highly successful as it is today if not for the help of any film production school that you can find.
You can be a part of this highly developing business. There may be two good reasons why you will want to be a film producer, a director, or an actor. First reason is that it is a way to express yourself as an artist. Film-making is an art and if you have the knack for it you simply can’t hone it on your own without being able to sit on a director’s chair or produce a movie by yourself. The other and the more practical reason is the usually good money that comes with the job. However, all these can’t be achieved without theoretical and practical knowledge. That is why it is necessary for you to enroll in a film production school.
A film production school gives you the type of training you need to be successful in this industry. There may be other formal academic courses on film-making that you can avail, like the ones the are offered in the universities. However, these commonly offer many subjects that may be irrelevant to film production. As a result, these may take a while to complete which means also that you have to spend more. On the other hand, a school particularly devoted to training students in the finer details of film production usually has shorter courses and focuses on the practical side of the subject. As a consequence, the timeframe for completing the production course is much shorter.
But despite the short timeframe for the completion of these courses, you still can expect a film production school to provide you with the most useful and most significant theoretical and practical tools in film-making and production trade. Students are usually regarded as budding movie producers. Therefore, you will learn how to develop ideas into realities, from stories into actual films. You are to learn how to create good scripts, do talent searches, and organize a plan that includes the financial aspect and the varying work schedules. On the part of post-production, you will learn how to market and distribute films. These are not just mere classroom activities though because you will actually be obliged to produce films as requirements for graduation.
The Guide To Getting The Right Film Acting School
At some point, most people must have thought about acting and doing it. It’s undeniable that film business is glamorous and fascinating as it is and that it is rewarding in any way although it is really hard to break into. There are people who show so much passion in acting and they exert effort in doing it. But there are also people who are born with the talent to act and are quite natural.
There are a lot of film acting schools today that crop up with the rising popularity of film-related jobs. It’s not easy to point out which one is the best because all the schools would like to be the best and they do their best to be so. That’s the reason why you must do thorough research before you can find the best one. Spending thousands of dollars for a diploma or a small degree does not ensure you much and in fact can be rendered useless in the end. Try to check on the institution’s credentials only to confirm that they have been there for some time now. Nonetheless it’s needed that you choose a film acting school that meets the qualifications you have.
Most people consider the location of a film acting school as a major factor. You can choose one that has the best alumni and one with a great reputation and prestige in the area. You can also rate it according to the center’s reputation, the method of training and faculty, length of studies, the subjects offered, how you are prepared for the market, performance opportunities, and of course the cost. Before you make a decision, interview the teachers to find out what their answers are. Discover for yourself as much as you can about what you can expect from the training.
To check out the ranking of film acting schools in the whole world will help you figure out who’s best. The best thing to do is to choose one of the top ten institutions on the list. But it does not mean because they have been ranked highly that you can be assured of the best ones. You muat also be aware of the feedback and opinions that the institution received over a period of time. The testimonials can help in trying to find out the film acting school you can go to, preferably the one that would give you a goal and also will help you to be successful in this industry of many opportunities.
Do You Have To Enroll In A Filmmaking School?
One possible reason why people think they don’t need a filmmaking school is when they take the art only as their past-time. As a matter of fact, movie making is not any near as being a hobby that you just work on when it’s your free time. It needs more than any fleeting interest and seeks for a perfection of the craft just like in any other profession. Therefore, itis significant that these schools would operate so that individuals with talent in film creation would have venues to train and develop their craft. After all, film creation is not merely just an art. After close to a century of evolution, it has achieved the status of being a science.
Unlike the aura of the academe though, a filmmaking school is not too formal and is more exciting and enjoyable. Normally, the academic atmosphere demands that a student to absorb not just principles but other pieces of information related to his course. A filmmaking school doesn’t have this character. Instead of giving out too much theories and information on the student, it whets the student’s thirst for knowledge on the subject and draws out more of his imaginative ability. Therefore, such school induces the student to come out with artistic ideas more than absorbing inputs.
It is for this reason that instructors in film schools must not only spoon-feed their students with ideas. Instead they must be able to encourage their students to be unique with their imagination. As a matter of fact, they have to make sure that the concepts and the ideas that are created are not limited to mainstream cinema knowing fully well that the evolution of filmmaking relies heavily on the innovative and unique imagination of future film creators. They are often not only teachers but also coaches and counselors who motivate students instead of restricting them.
If you are keen in enhancing your film-making skills, you are certainly having advantages by enrolling in a filmmaking school. Fortunately, you won’t have to go to a real campus and spend long hours inside the four corners of a drab classroom. The internet has made it possible for you to complete a course in filmmaking right in the comforts of your own home. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you are less serious in developing your craft. If you are tuly interested in it, you will find time to follow the schedule and comply with the curricular requirements. This wouldn’t be too hard for someone who desires to make films. You may not even think of the sessions as routines you cannot escape from but as fun learning moments. You may also think of the films you make as opportunities to enhance your artistry.
All About Film Production Jobs
Contrary to what many people think, being an actor is not necessary for you to end up having a role in a film. After all, acting is only one aspect to consider in the completion of any film. These can be the most talented cast for any movie but if there are no people to hold the cameras, write the script, create the sets, raise funds and direct the movie, there’s no movie made. Even those actors who are famous and award winning cannot simply shrug off the importance of those who have film production jobs. Actors simply act but it the whole crew who are working behind the camera that capture the action and turn it into a film.
Therefore, if you want to make a career in the film industry and don’t know how to act, you can certainly make good in either one or two film production jobs needed. You may not be on screen but you can find your name in the ending credits list. Of course, besides seeing your name there, the promise of good pay may make you see your bank account grow too. But, it does take careful preparation before you can end up with a job in film production. You don’t have to attend to a formal school as there are a lot of online training courses that are being offered on the Internet.
Before you enroll in an online course, it is important that you first determine what particular task in filmmaking you will want to specialize. Most people would prefer to immediately try directing which is why it is significant that they take a course related to this field. If you want a shorter route, you can do the same thing. After all, all that you are to learn in a film directing course is sort of a preview of all other film production jobs.
After having completed the course, don’t expect yourself to be sitting in the director’s chair that soon. Even the top-rated directors had to go through all the other film production jobs at first. Some had to work as writers, cameramen, video editors at first before they become directors. You may have to go through this process too. This is a significant learning stage, which readies you for a complete control of film production.
Film Production Equipment And Vital Information
With the influx of advance technology and the advent of film production equipment and digital film-making anyone can turn himself into a film director virtually overnight. Although film production cost is ridiculously high, some of these video production equipment are still easy on the pocket and they can be mastered without any delay. Even though the focus is more on the art of film making rather than the equipment, easy access to video equipment has kept many starters driven to try film making and give it their best shot. These recent advances in film production has made way for independent films to prosper. The first step in making yourself a Steven Spielberg is to understand completely the basics of video production equipment.
It is fundamental for you to take stock of your film production equipment as you start setting up video for the shoot to ensure that you have everything you need. In creating a professional-looking film, the most fundamental video production equipment you need to have are professional video cameras, stabilization equipment and also film lighting equipment as well as microphone or audio system. Some camera support equipment that might still be required may include dollies, tracks, jibs, booms, cranes, lifts, and tripods. Also you might want to factor in the trucks and other vehicles that will transport the cameras and other equipment needed for the filming. There will be instances when you will be using specialized equipment to enhance audio and video effects. In some instances, climate control machinery is also needed to create the appropriate effects for a movie.
When you are done with the creation of film on video, there are still some more video production equipment needed to edit and finalize the video and come up with your masterpiece. Through using professional quality editing equipment, you can give your video the kind of polished quality that sets it apart from home video or amateur production. Some of these video editing tools are video editing software, the sound mixing tool, and also the video duplication equipment.
Nowadays there are a lot of providers for production equipment such as camera, video, lighting and for film processing. You must also research on film equipment vendors who can offer movie production supplies that will be suitable to your needs. Look for those that can provide quality service, technical excellence and reasonable pricing. You do not necessarily have to buy all these video production equipment because most of them are now for rent. However if you intend to have your own equipment, you can purchase a lot of second hand ones as well.

Vehicles In The Movies
Sure we can go out and drive contract hire cars but what if we could drive or even ride in one of these vehicles, wouldn’t it be the experience of a lifetime?
v
it is actually still possible to get in one of these cars and drive it around although I am not sure you are going to be able to travel in time. This has to be one of the most wanted cars ever. Only around 4500 of them are available today and I would love to get my hands on one of them.
Hogwarts Express
This is on the list simply because if you are riding on the express it means you are on your way to Hogwarts! You have to be a wizard to even board the train, thats me out then. When it comes to the Harry Potter series this has to be one of the most famous, along with the broom and the flying car of course.
Batmobile
This is another one that needs to be looked into specially because there have been so many variations in the vehicle over the years. I would loce the one from the first series of this but I would really settle with any of them from the movies.
I really do wish that I had the money to be able to drive one of these, it would be pretty awesome. I was luckily enough to see the DeLorean from Back To The Future, well one of them in Universal Studios Florida a few years ago but it has since moved on when the Simpsons ride kicked in. Damn you Simpsons!
If your driving is as bad as Batman’s look out for bad credit car loans and gap insurance.
Film Goers Should Demand Better 3D
Cinemas have been around for a lifetime. No matter what age you are, you can never grow out of visiting your local cinema. With more blockbuster movies hitting our screens, I do feel that new more than ever is the time cinemas should take full advantage.
With current advancements in technology we are seeing people wanting to stay at home much more, with the release of HD and Blu-Ray there is really no reason to keep visiting the cinema. Ok yes it is a good social experience, but for the amount you are paying, you could in fact wait a few more months and buy the Disc and watch it an unlimited amount of times.
Film producers and developers should right now consider creating 3D movies. They already give us Dolby surround sound so why not go the whole mile and give us surround vision?
3D films have been around for a long time, the days where you had to put on your special 3D spectacles and watch the movie were great, but it did effect the film quality making the image very distorted. There are 2 avenues in which I feel the cinemas should take, 1st and foremost if they are going to hand out glasses let them be digital 3D glasses so that we can get the full quality experience from it.
The second feature and most exciting in my mind, is to make the movie theatre into an actual movie. What I mean is why just have an image at the front? Why not get projectors to actually make the whole theatre light up so it’s like you are in a movie? When you look up or down you will feel like you are in the movie. This can be done using obstruction lights and high resolution paint on walls.
Can you imagine how awesome it would be to watch an action movie like that? Where its like you’re in the movie, say you are watching Spiderman it would be like he is flying over your head. The cinemas should take note and up their technology before it is too late, the cinema needs to develop itself just like home entertainment has been doing.

The Convenience Of Downloading Pictures
Previous to the 1980’s the only way to see a film was to go to the theater. Occasionally if it was a truly pleasant show they would show it on TV later on but the movies were modified to contain the commercials and any primetime viewing limitations.
Then in the 1980’s the initial videos came out and we were at long last able to watch movies in the ease of our own homes. Though, in the beginning for the most part folks did not own their own Videotape recorder’s and you had to rent out a huge piece of equipment along with your video if you wanted to watch at home. It replaced going to the theater but it wasn’t any more convenient.
Times have sure changed. Now there are so many options to be had to watch movies that everybody can get pleasure from any movie they want at any time that they want. That is more than ever true with downloading movies. You can now download free movies in the seclusion of your own home any time that you wish. Pretty marvelous in view of that just 25 years ago or so we couldn’t have movies at home at all!
For a small subscription payment you can get limitless admission to thousands of movies. You can download and start watching almost instantly on your computer display or you can transfer the movie to a disc and watch it on your TV in the privacy of your own living area. Downloading takes just a few minutes and the collection you can pick out from is pretty much infinite.
As you search for film downloads you may find some websites that are offering to let you download movies for free of charge. If you think about it, you will grant that it is not really practical to offer such a valuable service for nothing and that there must be a trap. You will be putting your computer at jeopardy for viruses, adware and malware or even worse. There are copyright laws and legal constraints that the respectable sites take into consideration and if you are prudent you will stick with the sites that are doing it the lawful and reliable way.
One consideration that may concern you is the fact that anytime you download a movie it will take up space on your hard drive. You may want to download the movie and transfer it to the DVD disc so that you can go ahead and erase it from your computer. It just depends on the room you have and how you use that room.
The key benefit of downloading movies is that you can always get whatever show that you want anytime that you want it. There are no late fees and no standing in line at the video store or waiting for the movie to come in the mail. You can now get your movie at once. Downloading movies is the greatest thing that has happened since we have been able to watch movies at home.
Test it out. It’s easy and handy. You can settle on any motion picture you want, anytime that you want in the privacy of your own home. Downloading movies is better than everything we have seen since it became doable to watch movies at at your house back in the 1980’s.
The Best Of The Best Actors
Everybody has their own opinion on great actors and great movies. No one is more right or more wrong since it is just an opinion however it is fun to have favorites and enjoy. Some actors have enormous talent, and some actors are easy on the eyes and then there are the actors that are both. We like some actors more for what they do off the screen than onscreen, as some of them are great individuals who use their fame and fortune to help others and the world.
It’s pretty remarkable to think that Tom Hanks started out on a small and kooky TV show called “Bosom Buddies”. Who would have thought that he would boast the talent to pull off such great roles as Andrew Beckett, a gay lawyer who is infected with AIDS, who is fired from his conservative law firm because of the fear that they may also contract the disease. He won his first Academy Award for that role in 1993 and it was well deserved.
His following Academy Award came just the next year making him only the second actor in history to win back-to-back Oscars with Spencer Tracy being the first back in 1937 and 1938. In 1994 Tom Hanks again took home the Oscar for his moving portrayal of Forrest Gump. He also has a list of other great movies but it is too lengthy to cover here.
Brad Pitt has been adored for his good looks ever since he charmed us in the 1991 film “Thelma and Louise”. But he hasn’t always played the pretty boy roles. Recollect “Seven” and “Twelve Monkeys” both from 1995? Sometimes his personal life seems to outshine his acting roles but the most notable thing about Brad Pitt is that he has been especially active in humanitarian causes throughout the world and he has donated large sums of his cash to these causes.
After Hurricane Katrina basically wiped out New Orleans, Brad Pitt started the “Make It Right Foundation” to help in the redevelopment of the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans. The foundation builds homes that are affordable, sustainable and true to the diverse culture of New Orleans. The goal was to achieve the building of the homes fast so that the residents could return home as soon as possible. That has been his true success.
And that brings us to another great actor who is also known for his philanthropy. Paul Newman left us as he passed away this past year on September 26, 2008. During his life he entertained us with many great movies such as “Road to Perdition” in 2002, “The Color Of Money” in 1986, “Absence Of Malice” in 1981. He also played the leading role in the well known and much loved favorite “Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid” from clear back in 1969. Of course he played in a lengthy number of other impressive movies too.
Nevertheless we also remember him for his philanthropy. In 1982 he created a line of food products called “Newman’s Own”. It began with a salad dressing and then extended to include pasta sauce, lemonade, popcorn, cookies, salsa and more. He established a policy that all of the profits generated from Newman’s Own, after taxes of course, would be donated to charity. As of 2006, the company had donated in excess of $250 million.
Movies are enjoyable and they entertain us and we will forever have our favorite actors and actresses along with our favorite movies. They could be our favorites because of their talent or for other reasons. But since it is now possible to download free movies instantaneously we won’t have to miss any movie from any of our favorite actors.
See How To Download Movies
Have you ever waited and waited for the DVD of a great new movie to come out only to go to the dvd/video store and find that it is out of stock? You end up waiting some more after you already waited and waited!
Or have you tried the movies by mail programs? The plan is to just get online and fill up your queue and pick up your movies at your mailbox. The only problem is that if your first choice of movie is not in they will send your second choice or third choice or fourth choice.
So when you are in the frame of mind for a frightening horror movie and a romantic comedy shows up, well that is a problem. Another thing is that at least with the mail-in subscription that we had they didn’t always offer the new releases. So if we truly wanted to see one of the newer shows we have do wait anyway or try the dvd/video store once more.
But now there is a great solution for all of these problems. You can now download free movies, games and software from the coziness of your own home with the convenience of your own computer. There is a small membership fee with the reputable sites but if you choose a good site you can keep away from problems with viruses, adware and malware. It works great!
The rates are comparable to the other services that we used to use and we found them to be quite sensible. We can get a monthly subscription, an annual subscription or pay per download. They also have a lifetime subscription that is quite reasonable.
Nowadays we download movies we desire instantaneously and they are the full-length, high quality movies that we are used to. They even included special software so that we could burn it on a disc and watch it on our Television, which is very nice because I work in front of a computer monitor all day long and the very last thing I wanted to do was watch a movie on my computer!
Although for sheer ease nothing beats the movie download service. You can get any movie, anytime, day or night, holidays and after hours. The movie that you want is always available, in stock and you can have it instantly. You don’t even have to step outside of your house.
My family of movie buffs genuinely appreciates being able to download movies. It is the best answer we have ever found. Beats movie rentals.
Just a couple of movies made on ships
Many films that were based on cruise ships were actually filmed on the ships of course there are many that wernt too. here are just some of the ones that you should certainly watch before you go on a cruise luxury cruises
Titanic
This film is easily the most famous of all the films set on ships. It is also one of the biggest money earners of all time bringing in a massive .8 Billion. Because the film actually cost over 0 million to make it makes it one of the most expensive films ever made. The film is actually based around two fictional people. A few characters within the movie that are based on real people.
Crusing out of control in Speed 2
It was given very poor reviews partly because of the fact many people didnt return to the sequel. Keanu Reeves didnt return to the film as he thought that the script was very poor. Dennis Hopper did also not want to return although it is unsure how they would have brought him back into it. As a whole this film was actually very bad. You have to watch this film because it has such a good ending.
The comedy favourite – Carry On Cruising
This is just one the films in the massive collection that is the Carry On series. This was the first in the franchise to be fimed in colour. It is on the list simply because it is my favourite film in the entire series and needed to be here because the whole of the film is set on a cruise ship.
So whether you are on your way to one of those cunard cruises or even a Silversea cruises make sure you check out these films first. Thinking about it, these films all spell diaster for cruise ships but do not worry as they are just movies right?
Celebrities who might Tweet whilst driving
After reading a poll in which it was stated that 1 in 10 people risk their lives by tweeting in the car I thought it would be amusing to put together a list of famous fictional celebrities who might be one of these tweeters.
Dr. Emmet Brown from Back to the Future
Emmet Brown from Back to the Future {{is famous for inventing the time machine and using a DeLorean for it, he must have gone forward in time to get the technology he needed to be able to use Twitter}~is famous for inventing the time machine and using a DeLorean for it, he must have gone forward in time to get the technology he needed to be able to Tweet away}~{is famous for inventing the time machine and using a DeLorean for it, he must have gone forward in time to get the technology he needed to be able to use Twitter}~is famous for inventing the time machine and using a DeLorean for it, he must have gone forward in time to get the technology he needed to be able to Tweet away}. Was is Emmet suspected of using Twitter whilst driving? The DeLorean has gull-wing doors, surely the explantion on why he enjoys Tweeting,.
Del Boy from Only Fools and Horses
This British chap has got to be a tweeter as he owns a Reliant Robin, always seen trying to rip a few people off (in a nice way) I am sure he has got his hands on at least one form of the iPhone, even if they are from Japan.
Caractacus Pott from the Disney classic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
This guy actually made Chitty Chitty Bang Bang himself and must of had Twitter on the brain when he fitted the wings onto the car which of course enabled the car to fly. No, flying away is going to stop you from being caught on your phone Mr Pott!
In all seriousness, tweeting whilst driving is the same as being in a phone call or texting, it is against the law and is a law for one reason alone. It is there to make sure that people concentrate on the road when driving, so next time you fancy logging onto Twitter of Facebook make sure you pull over first and then use your phone.
The law is the same for new cars and yes it even applies if you own a Alfa Romeo or of course Volkswagen so make sure that you just double check you are not tweeting, texting or taking a call when you are driving because if you are caught in can result in a big fine.
