The concept behind console repairs is quite straightforward, not everyone has the money to buy a whole console again and some people grow attached to their possessions and would rather it be mended than replace it. Today’s market is full of many different consoles, making these Careers much more varied than they once were and also increasing their customer base. The consoles are all designed differently too, so the range of repairs you can take part in is great. This means that you can teach yourself the repairs and don’t have to fret about going to university or taking a specific course. It is however a good idea that you do an IT course and/or systems control course through school, so that you can become used to the technology and how it functions. If possible you would be practising in your own time too to become resourceful, attempting things like building your own computer and making an effort to repair old consoles to highten your confidence and technique. Once practised, you have to only demonstrate your ability and competence to obtain a job somewhere. If you were up to the challenge, you might even consider starting your own repairs business. This can be done from an office space with others helping, or you might go at it solo from home.

If you do decide to try out one of these Career Choices then you’re possibly not going to be earning a set salary. Though not always the case, most smaller businesses will be paying based on the amount of work they take on. You can’t guarantee that people’s consoles will need fixing, but providing you make your name acknowledged, business will come. The key point to remember about these Careers however, is not the wages that you earn, you have to be choosing these options because it is something you have a passion for and something you love taking part in.
