Disney Blu-ray Movies

I couldn’t imagine my childhood without Disney Movies. Some of my fondest memories are directly linked to the Walt Disney classics like Lady and the Tramp, Cinderella and Snow White. Now that this children’s entertainment company has grown, there are more Disney movies available to own as both DVDs and Blu-rays.

Each tale is unique and you are certain to find a favorite or two among the many films that have been created over the years. Disney movies offer something for everyone no matter what your age. I love watching the older films but the newer productions are nothing short of astonishing.

I am continually amazed by the incredible artistic feats that the Disney movies display which are best shown off in the new Blu-ray disc format. Considering that I remember Snow White when it was in the theaters, I can attest that I have had my fair share of films to compare. While I will always love the genuine beauty of the classic cartoon drawings, there is something truly astonishing about the computer generated images found in today’s Walt Disney productions.

No matter what, I find that children adore Disney movies no matter what kind of approach the animators use. The stories are so compelling and original (not to mention entertaining) that children of all ages will enjoy each and every one of the films. This includes the older ones that retain such charm.

Now that I’m a parent, I make sure that my little ones have all of the same wonderful experiences with Disney movies as I did. Creating your own collection of Walt Disney films may take a little time and effort but it is worth everything that you put into it. I love that I have many of the classics available any time at all.

This is especially good news for the kids. They have a chance to see classic Walt Disney movies like Bambi in the comfort of our home. These films are not seen on television and they are not re-released in theaters. However, they are readily available whenever the kids would like to enjoy them.

Huge Effects, Great Sound, That’s Blu-ray

There are many movies that are quite simply brilliant to watch in the amazing blu-ray format. All the big action, big sound, huge special effects type movies are, in my opinion, the best to showcase what Blu-ray has to offer. From the movies I have seen so far in the Blu-ray format, the following are some of my favourites:

Blu-ray movies such as the new edition of Batman The Dark Knight are undoubtedly the next best thing to seeing the film at the IMAX theatre. The bonus features included on the Blu-ray edition of Batman The Dark Knight are plentiful and will truly maximise your home theatre set up. The details and colours of every image on Batman The Dark Knight are pristine and the sound is flawless Dolby TrueHD. The most fantastic of all the amazing bonus features on the Batman The Dark Knight Blu-ray Edition is the “Gotham Uncovered” extra documentary where viewers can watch 81 minutes of behind the scenes footage.

Each Pirates of the Carribean movie has never been more enjoyable than on Blu-ray. The stunning high definition picture clarity of Blu-ray discs and house-rumbling sound quality will have any Pirates of the Carribean movie viewer shaking in their boots. The special features on each Pirates of the Carribean movie Blu-ray edition includes a range of special features including bloopers, trailers in FullHD, on-set diaries, documentaries on the making of each of the three films, step-by-step in depth looks at how scenes were constructed, various featurettes on the costuming of characters, deleted scenes, audio commentary tracks and much, much more.

The special features on the Twilight Blu-ray are exceptionally enjoyable for any Twilight movie fan. The Twilight Blu-ray edition offers a complete audio commentary where director Catherine Hardwicke and stars Robert Pattinson (plays Edward Cullen) and Kristen Stewart (plays Bella Swan) discuss the direction and performances. The audio commentary on the Twilight Blu-ray edition gives a great insight into the thoughts of the actors and director.

The third film in the Subculture saga

The third film in the Subculture saga goes back centuries to give an explanation for the origins of the feud between the vampire Death Dealers and the werewolf Lycans.

Taking over directing requirements from Len Wiseman in Rise of the Lycans blu-ray, is rookie Patrick Tatoupolos, known for his creature-designing duties in Godzilla (1998), I am Legend (2007), and the first two films in this series.

Less an action-horror film than an old-fashioned “sword-and-sandal” film with monsters, Rise of the Lycans blu-ray eventually gets to the root of why those vampires and werewolves really can’t stand each other.

Ruled by Viktor (Bill Nighy, Valkyrie), the aristocratic, vampiric Death Dealers keep the wolflike Lycans as slaves. When a captive Lycan lady births a human boy, Viktor resists the need to kill it, instead naming him Lucian and keeping him as a pet.

Lucian (Michael Sheen, Frost/Nixon ) grows up to be a blacksmith with the ability to change between human and wolf and starts a secret romance with Viktor’s daughter, Sonja ( Rhona Mitra, Doomsday ). Viktor learns of this banned love and takes drastic steps to ensure that Sonja will never be able to see Lucian again.

Lucian, in retaliation, leads a Rise of the Lycans blu-ray slave revolt, resulting in an all-out attack on Viktor’s kingdom. Though spectators who have skipped the 1st 2 payments of the saga may feel a little left out when it comes to the mythology of the series, Rise of the Lycans blue ray dvd hits the ground running and does not allow much time for queries.

While Sheen has been praised for his work in more historically dramatic films, here he gives his all to each growl and battle cry. Mitra is an appealing presence as Sonja, and Nighy is visibly relishing the chance to glower in his blue contacts and gnaw the moonlight-bathed view.

If you have had enough Oscar-nominated oatmeal, and you are in the mood for a massive bowl of sugary cereal with no nutritional content, Subculture : Rise of the Lycans blu-ray is prepared for you to sink your fake fangs into it. Whilst Alfred Hitchcock and more lately M. Night Shyamalan have wobbled between whether or not to pen roles for themselves into their own scripts, there’s no tottering for Subculture personality writer Kevin Grevioux.

Kevin James takes the role of a single dad in this mostly physical comedy

Coming off the culmination of TV’s preferred sitcom The King of Queens and 2007′s I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, funnyman Kevin James takes the role of a single dad in this mostly physical comedy, Paul Blart Blu-ray that the actor also co-wrote.

Paul Blart ( James ) is a hard worker, but has never landed his dream job of being New Jersey state trooper due to his excess weight. Striving to support his ma and his girl, Blart takes the slightly less glamorous post as the security guard at his local shopping mall. He never bitchs, approaching the job with electrifying diligence and pride, but does not get much respect for it.

It’s only when a group of misfits in Santa’s Aid disguises take hold of the mall and many hostages that Blart’s would-be cop smarts turn out to be handy and he gets a chance to shine. With a perilous situation available, Blart may eventually be ready to show everyone ( and his romantic interest, who just actually is one of the hostages) what he’s made of. Though the villains have several advantages over him, Blart has a Segway scooter and a massive heart on his side.

While many of its jokes come at the cost of James’s additional pounds, like other blu ray movies ultimately makes its star out to be a hero. With his everyman appeal, James is well-suited to play Blart, showing that even average Joes can make a change with the right perspective. Paul Blart: Mall Cop takes the banal out of the shopping mall, infusing a familiar setting with energy, laughs, and high-stakes drama.

Paul Blart Blu-ray is like the many variations on tuna surprise that show up at potlucks : common but with a little something added to differentiate it. The final product will not win any Oscars, but the edges of this slapstick action film keep James’s blitzkrieg humorous character, making for a light comic journey I am positive youngsters will flip for. Co-produced by Adam Sandler, Mall Cop has an innate sweetness that’s reminiscent of Sandler’s 1998 romantic comedy The Wedding Singer, although the giggles don’t quite reach those levels.

Kevin James is hard not to like in Paul Blart Blu-ray. He’s a giant, spotty, friendly doofus better suited for a half-an-hour TV show like The King of Queens than making an attempt to carry a 90-minute picture. James takes a Segway, a cheesy mustache and the comic concept of Die Hard in a mall and bumbles his way to a lightweight but frequently funny film for the whole family.

Get The Best Video Quality With HD Discs

I like blu-ray movies a lot. They offer really high quality picture quality. HD is the way of the future. Following my introduction to blu-ray watching DVDs is akin to poking needles in my eyes. I saw Spiderman 2 on blu-ray the other and it couldn’t even compare to when I watch it on regular DVD a couple of years back. Not only the picture is improved, but so is the sound generated. I really can not say enough good things about these regular discs.

I bought a high def TV, and when I view normal TV programming or even DVD movies it seems like a waste of my time. I do not even think it’s a good way to spend my time really. I’d rather read a book then watch crapy TV (and that’s saying a lot). There are HD channels available, so that makes it better, but still I wish everything looked like blu-ray DVDs.

Many people don’t buy blu-ray discs because they think they are prohibitively expensive. Yeah sure you pay a little more, but the quality is so worth it. It is not even that expensive really. You can buy blu ray movies online if you look for them. They really aren’t that expensive. One thing they are though is worth every penny. I would buy blu-ray movies even if they were $100 each. As opposed to really looking at price, I’d rather consider the quality.

When I look at how far technology has come it really makes me wonder what is yet to come in our lifetime in the realm of television. I suppose thinking about that stuff to much is useless. I’ll just talk about the here and now. That’s why I don’t know why more people don’t buy blu-ray players. I can concede they can cost a pretty penny, but the are worth it for sure. I don’t think I could cope without mine, not to sound insane.
