What Is Anime Based Mostly On?
Anime is mostly based off of a manga, which is mainly the Japanese word for comics. Often when individuals name something manga they imply that it was made in Japan. Some individuals favor manga over anime and vice-versa but the two are usually quite carefully associated to one one other, if not directly following each other, though in nearly all instances the manga comes first before the anime. Sadly I am not a fan of the style so I don’t have a lot expertise in reading it, in fact with my love for anime I’ve given manga a chance right here and there but it should by no means be nearly as good as anime to me. Manga is turning into more and more common in lots of parts of the world including the United States. Manga typically comes in magazines that may include a few chapters of a number of different collection, some each day, some weekly, and some even more spread out or even produced randomly. Whereas not all anime is predicated on manga, I might enterprise to say that a minimum of 90% of them are. It isn’t unusual for an anime to be produced concurrently the manga it is following, nonetheless this typically leads to the anime catching up to the manga too rapidly which forces the anime creators to both go on a hiatus or create ‘filler’ episodes that don’t have any real connection to the general storyline. One drawback that this creates for fans of anime but not manga is that the manga is at all times forward, thus the individuals who learn it’ll know what is going to happen before the anime viewers will, one of the many causes I’ve almost all the time averted anime dialogue forums is due to the spoilers that manga readers inadvertently blurt out and will damage months of anime viewing for me.
That is not all though, anime can also be very generally primarily based on video games, and a few even have whole franchises of video games based mostly on the anime. Probably the greatest examples I can think of for this is Star Ocean: EX, the anime almost follows the video games storyline and cinematic perfectly, some individuals may not understand how highly effective of storylines some video video games have inside them, and to have your complete thing offered to you visually can really be quite stunning. Another nice present examples of games turned anime are Remaining Fantasy VII: Introduction Youngsters, Valkyria Chronicles, Gungrave, Devil May Cry, Pokémon, Sonic the Hedgehog, Road Fighter, and lots of more. It was really a misconception of mine for the longest period of time that the Pokemon anime came before the games, it wasn’t till about five years later that I realized how wrong I was. These are only a choose few that had been in lots of circumstances beloved video video games of my childhood that left me wanting more, having an anime to watch that continues or gives me more plot and story is always a fantastic thing. A full itemizing of anime primarily based on video video games is saved up-to-date on Wikipedia, the hyperlink is provided.
In fact, some anime are even original creations, these however require way more work than simply taking comic strips and animating them collectively (not a proper clarification of the manga to anime transformation however the gist of it). Unique creations require, at the least in my opinion, a really visionary individual to create them. OVA’s, or original video animations, while sometimes primarily based solely off an anime of the same title however created by another animation organization, are essentially the most commonly seen types of original anime content. Most OVA’s are short in size starting from one to five episodes every, however then once more in some specific circumstances there are others which might be anywhere from 10-one hundred episodes in size, obviously this can be a factor of how a lot time and work goes into them. Presently I’m following anime OVA collection which can be around ten episodes every in length but rather than weekly episodes they solely launch about one episode every six months, that is proper I mentioned six months between episodes. Clearly this feels like a ache, but many OVA are thought-about to be better than their parent story anime by a large amount of the anime viewing public.
Not surprisingly some anime even evolves one step additional into having a dwell-action film or series made based on it. Many of the extra standard anime have spawned off stay-action creations such as Gantz, Dragon Ball, Detective Conan, Cowboy Bebop, and Nice Instructor Onizuka. While the success of these reside-action films hasn’t been spectacular, it is quite a distinct watch and gives you a greater look into the capabilities that anime has over what particular results can do for a movie. Having seen the dwell-action Dragon Ball, Detective Conan and Nice Instructor Onizuka films and other specials, I have to say that I used to be fairly dissatisfied with them, however primarily because of bad performing and low budgets. Earlier I mentioned the Cowboy Bebop live-action movie, which is still in growth at this point, but looks promising with The Matrix star Keanu Reaves enjoying the primary character Spike Spiegel, that alone puts it over the seemingly random set of actors I have seen in other live-action things. Hopefully Cowboy Bebop does effectively in American markets so we see more large name actors starring in live-motion anime based films, it is my belief that things are leaning that method since I’ve seen an increase in actors like Tina Fey, Matt Damon, Andy Richter, and Will Arnett amongst many others doing the voice-overs for major anime films (often the ones made my Studio Ghibli) in an try and carry a wider American viewers to anime. I really watched one in all Studio Ghibli’s films not too long ago, Ponyo on the cliff by the ocean, in English and was overjoyed when I was able to acknowledge in style tv and film actors voices, nevertheless that movie is packed with stars together with Tina Fey, Matt Damon, Liam Neeson, Betty White and many others, which was very in contrast to the usual one or two actors chances are you’ll recognize.

The Popularity Of Anime
The term anime stands for the short form of Japanese based animation clips which is an animated movie, very much influenced by manga.. Whilst historically, the initial anime was produced around the begin of the 20th century in Japan, with the use of French and German methods, animes increased in major popularity from the 1930s.
With television sets becoming a part of the households, the anime marketplace grew numerous folds and it’s now a huge attraction in not just Japan, but in all parts of the world. Also, the anime industry which initial started out with artists painstakingly making drawing one after the other, found a significant breakthrough when the animation capability got added to computers, which allowed them to digitally create anime episodes, not only much faster, but also offered choices to reuse the same anime, try multiple color combinations and effortlessly rectify errors.
Due to increased popularity, the animes do play an critical role in the lives of younger people. The most attracted to the animes are of course, the children, and hence animes play a incredibly important role in molding the future generations. Even though you will find some animes which put a lot of importance on the look of the characters, which enables them to resemble the nationals of some country or region, you can find others which tend not to show any such preferences.
All in all, the animes supply a fantastic method to explain the gorgeous feelings like love, friendship and are also less costly as compared to movies when it comes to producing a series, since the characters are imaginary, they don’ charge any fees as well as the production is also cheaper.
All the very good anime productions have a massive fan following worldwide. While using advent of channels like Cartoon Network, Pogo and Nickelodeon, the animes have discovered a huge industry. A variety of website pages also have their own ranking on the best animes, based on several parameters. Another great thing is that you can download anime on the net.
Q and A Anime
The world of animation has a lot to offer just about anyone. Of course children are the primary watchers of cartoons and such but there is more to this art form than just the standard cartoons on Disney or Nickelodeon. One of the branches of using cartoon characters to express a storyline is through anime. You may not be entirely familiar with this type of art work and if you are not, you are definitely missing out. Most anime is appealing to all ages. In fact the very word is derived from animation but you can find this niche in movies, comic books and even graphic novels. If you have always been interested in this art form or even if you are new to the anime club, you may have some questions. This article can answer some of them for you.
What is the history of anime?
Anime got its start in the 20th century in Japan. The first animated sequence produced by Japanese filmmakers first debuted in 1917. Since then it has become a very unique and alternate way of telling a story. Some of the first examples were truly animations designed to be competitive with Western animators but the style did not catch on quite as easily as producers and animation designers such as Walt Disney. As time passed anime began to feature heavily in comic books but the popularity was still largely Japanese. It was not until the 1980′s that the art form began to be successful in other markets. Two of the most popular animated series were Gundam and The Super Dimension Fortress Macross series that quickly became cult classics in Western civilizations.
How are character designs different in anime?
The first thing you will notice about anime characters is the proportions. Typically the heads tend to be larger than the rest of the body. The eyes will be exaggerated and will change shapes to match the character’s words or expressions. This is true of all cartoon characters but with anime it is pronounced. The mouth on the character will be opened very wide when speaking so it almost comes across as everything being yelled. You do have to keep in mind that character designs vary so what one anime designer uses, another may not.
When did this art form become a hit in countries outside Japan?
Anime truly did not become a cultural sensation until the 1980′s. Thanks to animators in Japan that produced Gundam, Robotech and even some of your favorite Saturday morning cartoon series such as Speed Racer, Western countries began to really take note of this form of design. The cultural following was very small at first and was almost a cult classic. But as more people were introduced to anime, the following grew. Now most people have watched a few animated programs and some are even devout fans of this art form.
How has this art form influenced cultural trends?
As more people began to be exposed to Japanese animation, a cultural following emerged. More people began to look into other Japanese art forms as well as customs found primarily in Japan. Food has been a remarkable cultural trend that has resulted as more people have become exposed to Japanese culture. Decades ago Japanese restaurants were few and far between but now can easily be found. The same thing goes for fashion and technology. Japanese designers and inventors are now on the cutting edge of both fashion and the technological world. Had it not been for the initial interests into cartoons, many people would not have been as compelled to look into Japanese culture further.

Which Websites Are For Anime Reviews
If you type “anime” into a search engine, you’ll be overwhelmed by the multitude of websites that appear. One site might be an anime forum, while others sell merchandise, others will be distributors’ sites, and others will be full of news. But as you start creating an anime library of your own, you’ll be best served by sites offering reviews of the different series. So if you narrow your search to “anime reviews” all sorts of useful web pages will spring up. If you keep track of several of these, you’ll soon learn the different reviewers’ preferences and opinions, and figure out just which anime you’re most interested in watching.
The Anime Meta-Review website (http://amr.nextstudio.net/), written by Andrew Shelton in Australia, is one of the sites for anime reviews done as a labor of love. As Shelton says, the site will continue “until I lose interest in anime or can provide a definitive and perfect review of every title. I don’t think either of these are going to happen in the near future.” The site is extensive, and Shelton gives detailed and honest reviews of each title, creating links to other major reviews as well. He often returns later to titles on his anime list, and if his opinions have changed, he reworks his reviews.
However, the main site for everything anime, including reviews, is the Anime News Network, or ANN (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/). The site began, as its name suggests, as a place for publishing news about both the anime and manga industries, which are closely related, as well as new series in both fields. But the network soon expanded, adding reviews of anime series, blogs by staff members and a discussion forum. One of the largest and most useful features of ANN is what it calls its “encyclopedia,” which is a huge database of information about anime series, voice actors, directors and creators. The most recent addition is a portal for streaming anime. This news network is the first place to go for information about anime.
Whether someone is looking for anime reviews of particular series, or wants an overview of the industry in general, they will never lack websites to delve into. Some sites created by individuals may fade away after a while, as the person gets too busy or the work becomes too much of a chore, but these usually serve at least as an anime information archive for older series. It’s certain, though, that with the continuing popularity of anime, there will always be plenty of information sites out there.

Where To Find Anime Online
Even though the United States and the UK often send television programs back and forth to each other, the opportunity to watch anime episodes did not arise in the same way across the pond as it did in North America. Manga tended to be shoved into back corners in bookstores, and since its presence often helped to promote anime, neither of these two media really flourished. And by the time television seemed ready to embrace anime at last, the anime online UK solution was beginning to appear on the horizon.
There had been a few paltry anime glimmers early on, such as a few series from the long anime list penetrating into kids’ television in the UK. Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece and Dragon Ball Z did make an appearance, but all of those series except perhaps Dragon Ball Z were really tailored for a younger audience. The only way fans who might have been interested in more complex or adult series could find out about them was through a few anime online UK websites that provided news.
One of the first anime English broadcasts in the UK took place in July of 2006, when the Naruto series began airing on the Sky Digital channel. This channel, called Anime Central, broadcasted only in England and Ireland, and because it had to share time with another channel, it could only broadcast only from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. It didn’t hurt that manga also became more mainstream at this time, since these two media often supported and promoted each other. In 2008, anime was removed from its schedule altogether, as Anime Central transitioned to Showcase and then to the True Entertainment channel. So it seems that an anime online UK solution is all that’s left to anime fans in the country.
Fortunately, the anime online UK answer to British fans’ desire for this type of animation has become much easier to access since the demise of the Anime Central channel. Video streaming and downloading technologies have advanced in leaps and bounds, and many distributors have now placed entire anime libraries online, on their own video portals or on dedicated channels in places like www.youtube.com or www.joost.com. It has finally become possible for fans in the UK to watch free anime or even to download and own episodes for a fee. Internet streaming and downloading have finally given UK fans’ pent-up desire for more anime a solution.

The Vast Range of Anime Movies
You will get the same range of anime movies as you do in Hollywood, Bollywood or any other genre or production center. Some will clearly be just plain bad, while others will be obvious attempts to cash in and make money by producing a low-quality knock-off of a better movie. But then you will watch anime movies that stand alone as probably the most creative and captivating animated films anywhere on the planet. Some of these are inspired by anime series, but others tell their own important stories.
Some anime movies are disappointing because they play upon fan devotion to the original series. The final episode of the popular Fullmetal Alchemist anime left many things hanging. It was clear that the creators simply expected fans to fork over money for the anime DVD of Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conquerer of Shamballa, for the resolution of these issues. Most fans did so, but there was a lot of grumbling. On the other hand, movies like the ones based on the Naruto anime, while not spectacular, have been enjoyed because they feel more “honest,” fitting in well with the ongoing series itself.
The real jewels among anime movies, however, are those not necessarily connected to an anime television series, but which stand on their own. The earliest well-known film of this sort was Akira, from 1988. It brought the anime art style to North America, and told an intense, sometimes violent story that demonstrated that anime was not merely a children’s cartoon genre. In more recent years, with the appearance of the top anime films of Hayao Miyazaki, the power of the anime form has taken the movie world by storm. His film, Spirited Away, was the first anime film that won an Academy Award.
Anime movies run the gamut from silly to sublime. The ones associated with actual anime series can rarely stand on their own, plot-wise, yet they often demonstrate great beauty and skill in their creation. But the ones created as standalone works of art are the real exemplars, and exhibit all the beauty of the anime art form, frequently combined with a depth of plot and characterization. Whether one thinks of Vexille, recently acclaimed at several major film festivals, or Miyazaki’s Academy Award, it’s clear that the top anime films can stand on their own, right alongside some of the other great works on film.

Way to Watch Anime Programs
Online streaming of videos has made a big difference for fans of any film or animation genre, but for those eager to view anime episodes, this new technology has been a godsend. In the past, these fans had few options. They could buy a video or eventually a DVD, or wait for the broadcasting choices of television networks. Given that TV series tended to be geared more toward the young Saturday morning cartoon group, and buying DVDs on a large scale was expensive, there weren’t many ways to watch anime free until online streaming was developed.
As video streaming technology became big on the internet through the 2000s, the best-loved episodes of an anime series became much easier to see. Many series were placed online, and people not only could watch streaming anime but could download it to their computers as well. Of course, this immediately created copyright issues, because most people who put episodes online did it without the permission of the licensed holders; the big distribution companies. And those who downloaded episodes were not paying for them.
The first impulse of distribution companies was to sue everybody who placed unlicensed anime episodes online. This still continues to some extent, but most companies realized quickly it would become very expensive, and bring bad publicity to attack their own fans on that scale. Instead, they chose ways of working with fans rather than against them, and created video portals where people could watch their favorite anime for free, and download and own higher quality videos for a fee. Those who simply never had the money to fork over to the corporations were not shut out, but the companies’ real target, people with cash, were reached more easily. It was a win-win situation for everyone.
As social networking sites became prevalent, distributors also discovered that these, too, created new ways to provide anime episodes to fans. Several companies, like FUNimation Entertainment in the U.S. or GDH/Gonzo in Japan, created their own branded YouTube channels. People could watch free anime there, and be linked to the distributor website where they could buy individual episodes or whole series. Between this sort of purchase and the buying of episodes to download even to a cell phone, distributors have found new ways to profit, while giving their fans many different options.

Responses To Illegal Anime Downloads
Illegal online downloads might have started with music, but they certainly didn’t stop there. It took longer for video technology to develop, but illegal anime downloads eventually began posing the same problem for anime distributors that song downloads did for the music industry, early in the century. Once a few people had the digital files from any series, it was easy for these to be uploaded to fan sites, and soon people could watch anime free online, and download the files to their own computers, without any consequences.
Things came to a head over these illegal downloads of anime files early in 2008. Two of the biggest companies, Bandai Entertainment and FUNimation Entertainment announced that they planned to take the same hard, heavy-handed line the music industry had done, suing almost everybody who moved. Many in the industry were uneasy, worrying that by essentially attacking their own fans, the creators and distributors of Japanese animation could cut their own throats. Surely there had to be a more moderate approach.
The first hint of that approach came when GDH/Gonzo, another big anime creator and distributor, began dealing with illegal anime downloads rather differently. They didn’t fight the trend; they joined it by buying a stake in a fan website called Crunchyroll. Gonzo began donating series so that fans could watch anime episodes free. However, the free video streams were of lesser quality than the same episodes in a form that fans could download to own for a small price. In this way, fans could get some of what they had wanted all along, but the anime distributor could also benefit. And this was done without anyone needing to launch law suits against anyone else.
It is to FUNimation’s credit that they either followed Gonzo’s lead, or at least developed a similar plan to deal with illegal anime downloads. The company hasn’t entirely abandoned its prosecutorial ways, but it did set up its own video portal, positively loaded with free streaming anime. It streams vast chunks of its anime library for free, while fans can take advantage of a download-to-own option, one episode at a time. This approach has worked very well to make the company’s fans happy, while providing publicity and extra revenue as well. Gonzo may have had it right from the beginning: “If you can’t beat them, join them.”

Different Types of Anime Download
Sometimes a person will acquire either paid or free anime episodes by downloading them onto their computer or portable viewing device. This is, of course, the main sort of anime download, but it is by no means the only type of digital file that a person can download in connection with the anime industry. With so many elements in people’s lives now existing these days in digital form, it’s not surprising that there are a great many other sorts of anime-related things that people can download onto their computers or portable electronic devices.
It’s now possible to join mailing lists, either for the major distributors or even news sites, and receive notifications of the latest anime news or the release of new titles. As with so many other types of downloads, these can be sent directly to the person’s portable device, or to their email account. They can also go to news sites or online anime stores and download image files that might contain wallpapers for computer desktop backgrounds, or screen savers comprised of images from their favorite series. An anime download can contain many different types of files.
But another anime type of download comes from anime-related art produced by fans themselves. Many people are so inspired by both the distinctive art form of this animation genre, as well as by the anime characters themselves, that they often draw or paint their own interpretations of the stories and characters. These may be posted online at art-related websites like www.deviantart.com, and contacts can sometimes download them. Of course, the artists need to be careful not to allow the actual sale of these images, so they don’t run into copyright issues.
The same sort of cautions would apply to another form of anime download, which would involve the downloading of fan fiction. The writing of fiction based on people’s favorite anime stories and characters is widely practiced wherever the anime art form appears, and entire websites have been created to allow people to store, read and comment on each other’s writing. Anime by itself is interesting and enjoyable enough. But it creates such inspiration in its fans that they are always looking for new ways to capture its essence. Whether this means wallpapers, text files or even music files, the range of anime-inspired creativity appears almost limitless.

Online Free Anime Are Cool?
While many fans can afford to buy DVDs of their favorite anime or pay to download single episodes, there are still great numbers of those who can’t, whether they are from low income families or are too young to have much money. Distribution companies can create all the download-to-own options they please, but they will never get sales from these people. Fortunately, these anime fans are not left out in the cold, because there is still a large amount of free online anime that they can access.
The first place fans can find online anime is at fan sites that offer free streaming of anime episodes. Despite the furor over illegal anime downloads at such sites early in 2008, some distribution companies actually entered into partnerships with these sites, allowing them to continue to stream anime for free, with videos of slightly lesser quality than the ones that could be purchased. Not every anime distributor does this sort of thing, but people who can’t afford to pay for downloads can certainly find anime series to enjoy from the ones who do.
FUNimation Entertainment, an American distribution company, has probably the most extensive online library of anime. In 2008 and 2009, it acquired most of the anime titles from both Geneon and ADV, and has put many of these online, in addition to a large number of its own titles. Rather than making agreements with fan sites, this company made its own arrangements for allowing its fans to watch free anime. It has placed many titles on streaming sites like www.hulu.com and www.joost.com, but also created its own video portal. From that portal, of course, fans can also exercise paid download-to-own options on specific series.
In the same way that it might seem counterintuitive to provide free online anime in order to increase revenues, some North American distributors are following another practice that might sound contradictory. The sensible course, in the minds of most people, would be to offer streaming only of series that have been around for awhile and might have run the course of the initial buying enthusiasm. But some distributors are also letting fans watch anime free that has just been broadcast in Japan. By all these different means, publicity and good will are created, and this can only end up benefiting both the fans and the distributors.

The Convergence and Divergence of Anime Videos and Anime TV Series
Anime videos and anime TV series pretty much grew up together, the videos gradually following the appearance of the series on television. At first the entrance of anime into North America was a gradual trickle, starting in the 1960s with programs like Astro Boy, with other shows like Speed Racer and Robotech coming later. Japanese animation seemed a bit odd in the beginning, having such a different visual quality to what American audiences were used to. But even though they only saw a few series in the first decade or two, they liked what they saw.
Things progressed slowly through the 1970s, but began to speed up in the 1980s, both in the case of anime TV series and videos. For one thing, a few more of the series began airing, but another new development made it possible to spread the top anime videos more widely. The invention of the VCR allowed people to view Japanese animation series without being dependent on what the television networks decided to buy out of Japan and air in North America. The crowds who watched this animation genre were still small, but with the new videos, anime was shown more and more in places like science fiction and fantasy conventions, and the interest grew.
When DVDs began appearing on the scene, many converted their favorite anime collections from VCR to DVD. This new technology made it even more possible for anime videos and anime TV series to diverge into separate spheres, yet they did remain intertwined to a large degree. The number of anime broadcasts on television skyrocketed in the 1990s and this prompted more purchasing of anime videos, which in turn encouraged more television exposure. The two media formats fed into each other.
With the advent of the internet and, in the 2000s, the development of video technology on portable devices, the interconnection of anime videos and anime TV series began to fray until it remained only tenuous. With new videos often uploaded onto internet sites, fans can now watch what is called “streaming anime” without being anywhere near a television. As well, most anime producers now have agreements with cell phone companies, and fans can even download episodes directly to their portable devices. Anime may have owed its rise in popularity to the television, but now it appears to be leaving its TV roots far behind.

What Are The Great Features of Anime Series?
You would think that both Japanese anime series and cartoon series produced in North America would be pretty much the same, with the main difference being a matter of visual style. But the differences actually run considerably deeper than that. It’s true that the visual style of anime is distinctive, with very lush colors and the characters drawn with large, expressive eyes. But the top anime titles frequently involve lots of great complexity, and feature characters experiencing a full spectrum of emotions, from hilarious to tragic.
This complexity isn’t always visible at first glance, for some anime series. For example, in the Sailor Moon series, the main character was often very silly. Yet Sailor Moon, probably the most beloved anime girl in the world, also had moments of nobility and strength. The plot of this anime frequently veered between rather fluffy episodes and scenarios where this character or her companions might need to make deep personal sacrifices to save the world. This is a strong feature of anime; extreme silliness in one episode followed by heart-wrenching drama in the next.
Characters in series like the Bleach anime or Naruto (probably the most popular title in the world) have their silly moments too, but these are fewer. In each of these series, the main character learns new martial arts skills, such as Ichigo in Bleach acquiring supernatural fighting skills, while Naruto is learning Ninja powers. But while they might have ridiculous moments in the middle of an episode, these anime series concentrate more on the battles and quests each character must undergo, either to save a comrade, save a village or grow as a person.
Fullmetal Alchemist is another of the anime series with lighter moments, yet the thrust of this popular title is sober and dramatic. Two young brothers must undo the results of committing a terrible taboo of alchemy, while becoming involved with saving their country from destruction at the hands of unnatural alchemical forces. Series like this and others are among the top anime titles precisely because they know how to balance the lighter, more ridiculous moments with more complex and dramatic plot elements. This intensity and complexity sets much anime apart from other styles of animation.

Gaara Of The Desert
What exactly is Gaara of the Desert? Is it a type of sand? Or is it some nomadic race of men who ride giant camels through the dark of night? It’s far stranger than any of that. Because Gaara of the Desert is a character in the Japanese Anime and Manga “Naruto.”
Gaara of the Desert has an interesting name and is associated with many Japanese names and concepts that have to do with his character. Gaara has a tattoo on his for head. It’s the second Kanji character in his name and it means Love. The words self and carnage are also carried in his name. Thus his name can be taken to mean person who enjoys carnage.
Gaara of the Desert fits the name, he loves to kill. Gaara killed a man just for passing him on the road when he was six, thus his father became very worried. His father sent assassins to kill Gaara, but instead Gaara killed them. His father then tried to send Ninjas, even more deadly assassins, but Gaara proved to much for them. He killed the Ninjas and escaped death a second time.
When “Naruto” begins Gaara of the Desert is only 12 years old. He was created by his father, yes the same one who tried to kill him, as a perfect fighting machine. His power and violence comes from a demon that was put inside him at birth. If Gaara dares fall asleep, the demon will completely control him.
In the beginning Gaara of the desert was Naruto’s enemy. Their creations were similar. But they took different paths in life. At its most basic, Gaara was evil while Naruto was good. The two fight throughout the series. Naruto eventually kills Gaara by removing the demon from inside him. Eventually though, Naruto restores Gaara to life.
Every hero needs a villain to bring out the best in him. Gaara of the Desert has filled this role throughout the Naruto narrative. Fans love him, and consider his battles with Naruto some of the best there are.
The bottom line is don’t cross Gaara of the desert.
