If you are searching for free auditions than do not fear, you can go to many places where their are a lot of auditions and casting calls that are free. You can start by going through entertainment trade publications like Variety and Back Stage. Both those are a great place to find free auditions and castings.

Another great place to find free auditions is craiglist the popular website. Search in the section for jobs which has an entertainment section. You can see a lot of auditions and castings if you go there. The great thing about Craigslist is that new casting calls and auditions are posted daily.

You can also go into your favorite search engine like MSN, Yahoo, Bing, or Google and type in Free Auditions or Free Casting calls or something similar. You will be presented with pages and pages full of websites with casting information. The only thing that annoyed me was that many of these pages have horrible interface that are confusing to the user. I had to dig through the clutter to find the info I wanted. I can’t really complain though because I didn’t pay for it.

My last piece of advice does not include info on free auditions, but it is something you should look into. It is considering getting an agent. Now you don’t pay an agent to find you auditions or casting calls, but you do give him a portion of what you earn. Now this may sound undesirable, but a good agent will keep you working. So it’s definitely something to at least consider, but even if you don’t get one you now know where to find free auditions.
