At an audtion for commercials, you will see the casting directors and even possibly the producers. It’s crucial that you respect everyone there and don’t just kiss up to the casting directors. Because you never really know who is the one really in charge.

Fill out the form and find open free auditions for TV commercials.

The casting directors at the audition will have seen a lot of people. Be sure that you don’t cross the line and get the casting directors to not like you. The bottom line is to be prepared and do not waste anyone’s time. If you manage to piss someone off, you’ll also lose your chance at that role.

Be nice and smile to the casting directors when you introduce yourself and have a headshot photo with your information and your agent’s information on it. If you have hired an agent, pass that information to the staff there so they can contact you later. Agents may be helpful if you don’t have one. They will find you a job and won’t get paid until they do. Then they will take usually around 10% of your paycheck for that job they found for you.

Depending on what type of commercial it is, you may be asked to do a variety of things. The best way to practice is to take an improv class. The TV commercial casting directors will ask you to read lines from the commercials so they can determine if you are a right fit for the role.

Here is a list of commercial auditions in your area.

Be sure to always be friendly and don’t forget to smile. Good luck with your TV commercial audition and I wish you the best of luck.
