We’ve received many questions from people asking how they can watch TV on the web. Viewing TV on the internet is becoming very popular.

Watching TV on the internet isn’t a new concept, but recently it has increased greatly in popularity due to advances in video quality and the amount of channels. There was a time when the video and sound quality was extremely poor and there weren’t all that many channels available online.

Now the technology is to the level where you can find thousands of channels and watch them all in high definition quality. Admittedly I’m not accustomed to watching TV on the net, but when I was researching online TV for this article I was very impressed with what I saw.

So how do you watch TV on the net?

You are going to need to find an internet TV software to install on your computer. There’s a couple available to choose from, so there’s a few things you should search for and pay attention to.

First off, ensure that you search for a big selection of TV channels. Obviously it’s important to get the major channels (NBC, FOX, Movie Channel, CBC etc) but you should also look for a bunch of specialty channels as well.

An amazing feature that I found is the ability to schedule and record whatever show you want. It works similar to a “Tivo” – you can record whichever program you want so that you can then watch {it later when you wish}. This isn’t a commonly available feature, but it available so look around. The program should also have the option to connect your computer to your TV set if you want to watch it on the big screen.

You need to also make sure that there aren’t any monthly charges. The best programs will only charge you a one time charge for lifetime access to their services. You won’t be billed any monthly fees which naturally makes it a tremendous deal when compared to satellite or cable TV. You will be able to find a better deal. Stay away from any program that wants to charge you a monthly fee as you will be able to find a much better deal.

Live internet TV is a great way to watch your favorite shows. For about $45 you can get complete access to all the best channels to view on your computer. It’s also useful if you own a laptop since you are able to watch live TV even if you’re on the road. If you’re a TV buff, it’s worth having a look!~I should warn you though, it can be very addictive!
