Cast includes Kevin Kline, Penelope Wilton, Denzel Washington, Kevin McNally, John Defrost, Timothy West, Juanita Waterman, John Hargreaves, Alec McCowen, Zakes Mokae, and Ian Richardson. (157 minutes, 1987)
Illicit: Cast includes Barbara Stanwyck, James Rennie, Ricardo Cortez, Joan Blondell, and Charles Butterworth. Self sufficient-minded Stanwyck cherishes Rennie, although doesn’t desire matrimony to tarnish her cheerfulness. This is a boring film with way too much talking. Cast includes Marcello Mastroianni, Claudia Cardinale, Anouk Aimee, Sandra Milo, Barbara Steele, Rossella Falk, Madeleine LeBeau, Caterina Boratto, Edra Gale, and Mark Herron. T (81 minutes, 1931)
The Sentinel: Smooth however mindless shocker in reference to N. Y.C. fashion model, who leases a house in Brooklyn, finds it’s full of demons and she’s to be the next protector protecting the gateway to Hell. Laws of Gravity: Extreme, lucid journal of 3 significant nights in the lives of a set of youthful blue-collar Brooklyn robbers and their lady friends. Shot on a minuscule spending limit, and differentiated by abrasive, Scorsese-Iike reality. The acting is superb and Jean de Segonzac’s hand-clutched camcorder is a chief plus. Cast includes Peter Greene, Adam Trese, Edie Falco, Arabella Territory, and Paul Schulzie. (100 minutes, 1991)
Defiance: Abrasive little film in reference to rootless blue-collar hermit Vincent, who tries to match up his dying kid’s bone marrow on his own. He then tames a ferocious N.Y.C. road gang. Cast includes Jan-Michael Vincent, Craft Camey, Theresa Saldana, and Danny Aiello. (102 minutes, 1980)
Hackers: A group of youthful competer specialists is framed for crimes committed by pc whiz and could-be master felon Stevens, and have to use their own computer abilities to demonstrate their innocence. It is quick paced and the lucid directing makes it fun. Cast includes Jonny Lee Miller, Angelina. Jolie, Fisher Stevens, Matthew Lillard, Laurence Mason, Jesse Bradford, Renoly Santiago, Lorraine Bracco, Wendell Perforate, Penn Jillette, Felicity Huffman, and Marc Anthony. (105 minutes, 1995)
