Highly Entertaining Naruto Animation Series

Naruto is an action and comedy packed animation series which has Naruto Uzumaki, a ninja kid at the centre of its story.

Naruto was first made for the Japanese TV Tokyo which later became so popular that Viz Media brought it to North America. Studio Pierrot produced the animated version and Viz Media released it in Northern America.

The series was broadcasted on TV Tokyo from October 3, 2002 to February 8, 2007 and was first made in the Japanese language which was later translated into English for telecast in cartoon network’s toonami division. Cartoon network soon stopped its toonami division but continued showing Naruto in the regular cartoon network.

The story is set up against the backdrop of a village called Konohagakure which is depicted as one among the five Shinobi nations. Naruto Uzumaki lives here and gets into different adventures in a bid to get noticed. Naruto dreams of becoming a Hokage that will put him in a position in parity with the rulers. All characters of this animated series like Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno have been beautifully crafted and woven into the story.

Jetix UK and Bionix were also leading telecasters of the popular Naruto episodes. The original manga had 27 volumes and the animation series had 220 episodes concocting both the raw story and some additional plotting. But by Jan 2009 Naruto’s 209th episode was aired and since then there has been no broadcast of the series. Fans are hopeful that rumors of Viz resuming the telecast of the popular series will be confirmed soon.

It’s not game over yet for Naruto’s fans as the producers are offering DVDs which have the famous ninja kid’s episodes. Although they have been compressed, there is not much change to the episodes available in the DVDs. There are also DVDs containing episodes of the series for every season and some containing selected scenes of the series. Further around 135 Naruto episodes have been compressed into a single disc titled ‘Naruto The Best Scene’. The famous Naruto episodes are also available on the web. The cartoon series has also been made into animation movies.
