All Time Low- Young Band Cruising High

In the music industry, the All Time Low discography from the American pop punk band of the same name is considered relatively young in more ways than one. The band was only formed in 2003 in Baltimore, Maryland. Also, its members are relatively young musicians in their early 20s, with front man Alexander Gaskarth just 23 years old as of this writing.

Despite the young ages of the band members however, the group seems all set for future stardom. They’ve only just began work but vocalist and lead guitarist Alexander Gaskarth; rhythm guitarist and backup vocalist Jack Bakarat, bass guitarist Zachary Merrick and drummer Rian Dawson are well on their way to making waves in the music scene.

Band Story

The members of All Time Low began playing together when they were only in the eighth grade. True to their genre, they started playing songs by the pioneers of pop punk, Blink 182. The group however that has exerted the most influence on them is New Found Glory. This established band has been so influential that the young band’s name is lifted from their song “Head On Collision.”

Today, the band is no longer just a cover band but is fast becoming pop punk’s newest star. For a new group, the All Time Low music merch is already quite good with three studio albums, eight singles and two extended plays. They are set to release a DVD soon.

Albums Out

Just a year after being formed, the band signed with Emerald Moon Records. The results of that deal included their debut EP titled “The Three Words to Remember in Dealing with the End” and the debut All Time Low album “The Party Scene” which was released in July 2005.

The band eventually moved on to Hopeless Records. The move to a new label ushered a new beginning for band members who weren’t even out of high school yet. The career move was a testament to the band’s talent and the fact that it pays to start early in the music industry. The first order of business for the group was the second recording of songs from their first album. They also added new songs to their EP. This put their work in the Top Heatseekers and Independent Albums charts. Clearly, All Time Low was already on the right road up.

The year 2007 marked a new development for the band as they began to move closer to mainstream music. The year was ushered in by the album “So Wrong, It’s Right.” In 2008, they were dubbed Band of the Year by the Alternative Press Magazine.

One other proof that the group is indeed on the right track is its work with Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 fame. The veteran pop punk artist pitched in for the third All Time Low album, “Nothing Personal”. This came out under Hopeless Records in 2009. Interscope Records will release the band’s fourth album.

The band’s name isn’t all too accurate. For a group called All Time Low, they don’t seem to be at the bottom of their game. From all appearance, they are well into an all time high.
