Out of all those who came, one man, Eagles diehard fan, and former high school football player, 30 year old teacher Vince Papale actually gets to go on to practice with the actual team. In a huge surprise, Vermeil keeps him on the team. In a fairy tale ending, Vince actually scores a touchdown in his short NFL career.

General Ella Rovere: De Sica is bright as a con guy forced by the Nazis to imitate a just departed Italian military leader and find the identity of an Opposition leader. Can this farce someway transform a coward into a man of courage? Cast includes De Sica, Hannes Messemer, and Sandra Milo (129 minutes, 1959)

A Bullet for the General: Blond gringo joins marauding guerrillas and shares to gory bloodletting. Not poor for the genre. Cast includes Maria Volonte, Lou Castel, Klaus Kinski, and Martine Beswick. (115 minutes, 1967)

An Innocent Man: Jimmie Rainwood had his life turned upside down. Two corrupt cops break in to his house suspecting to find drugs. They have the wrong address. To cover there tracks they plant evidence, and have him convicted. Three years later he is release from prison, and sets out to prove his innocence.

Li’l Abner: Vigorous Gene DePaul-Johnny Mercer lyrical based on Broadway rendition of AI Capp’s cartoon; loud and brassy, with cheesy comedy, some excellent melodies. Stubby Kaye is fine as Marryin’ Sam; other Dog-patch characters vividly enacted. Look acute for youthful Valerie Harper and Beth Howland amid the chorus gals. Cast includes Peter Palmer, Leslie Parrish, Stubby Kaye, Howard St. John, Julie Newmar, Stella Stevens, Billie Hayes, and Robert Strauss. (113 minutes, 1959)

Bug: Earthquake discharges a sickening assortment of beetle from the world, adept of setting individuals, animals, and objects on fire. Spray your set with Pillage after observing this one. Generated and co-written by William Castle, whose last film this was. The Strange Door: Laughton camps it up in this bulky-handed, apparent adaptation of a Robert Louis Stevenson tale of a sadistic squire and his nefarious plans. Karloff has a thankless role as a servant identified Voltan. Cast Charles Laughton, Boris Karloff, Sally Forrest, Richard Stapley, Michael Pate, Alan Napier, and Paul Cavanagh. (81 minutes, 1951)
