Guitar Hero Smash Hits

Guitar Hero is not only a game that is fun to play, but it has been said by Harmonix Music representatives that if you can play the Rock Band drum set on the ‘hard’ setting, you can pretty much play the drums for real! But are you really playing the drums, or just copying the pattern you see on the screen? If you can master the video game drumming, it doesn’t mean that in you will be able to sit at a real drum set and be able to play. To play real drums you need to be able to read music. which you won’t learn playing a game; excellent coordination and rhythm. If you can’t read music you may never be able to play real drums unless you are musically gifted and able to hear what needs to be done. Most bands these days no longer use electronic drum kits such as were popular in the 80′s. A real drum kit gives you actual control over the sound of the notes, their length and more.

One thing real drums won’t need is Guitar Hero World Tour cymbal cable, because real cymbals don’t have a cable that is too short and breaks all the time.

The simplest drum kits are harder to play than the Guitar Hero World Tour game or Rock Band drum kit. Not being a musical person myself, I find just the picture of a real drum kit intimidating! Imagine sitting behind a huge set of drums, knowing that you are responsible for setting the rhythm for your band and they all rely on you. If you get to that point you are obviously a good drummer, but for a novice even the Rock Band drum kit can be too much. Learning drumming starts with knowing have to keep the beat. You first need to be able to keep rhythm if you want to learn to play the drums? Not necessarily. Good drummers can add to songs with their skills as well as just setting the rhythm for everyone else to follow. {You may not always notice the drums, but if you were to take them out of the song I think you would notice for sure!

Can Guitar Hero or Rock Band games actually teach how to play drums? Most likely not, but you can sure start learning the basics. Learn drumming basics with the games, practice counting out the beat, and you will be starting your one way journey straight to the top!

I also dont think a rock band drum set will teach you how to play drums. But it might actually be a very good introduction with regards to learning to keep time and counting. so when you actually get to a real drum set it might not be that unfamiliar.
